Right to Left is a multilingual studio. Our current team is fluent in English, Arabic, French, Chinese and Cantonese, and we have over the years worked with Polish and italian speakers.
Since we use a variety of scripts everyday as designers, we wanted to explore how these scripts compare, and create a place for the conversations we have around typography. That’s why we set up Type Map. This project allows us to explore language, equality and power through design. We started by looking at fundamental rules of type, leading, kerning, modularity in Chinese and Arabic, and we have been building this archive as we go.
